I enjoyed reading Cottage Life by Masha Tupitsyn. It was enjoyable, but confusing at the same time; trying to figure out who or what exactly she was talking about had you continuing to read. The way she transitioned from describing herself from a young child to an adult was probably the most confusing part. The way she describe her love was deep; because with it being put in such literal terms, but still giving a meaning to it that you had to decode, gave it vivid visual, I like that. Reading this story had me comparing to how it was similar to the assignment we had to where write the separate writings, then combine them into compilation of one story. At one point, I thought this may have been a prostitute writing her thoughts on her, what she does and maybe how she feels about one of her customers, but that was just a random thought, highly doubt that was anywhere near right. I did enjoy this story though.

Another of the assigned reading, that I enjoyed but was interesting was New York/LA Whirlwind Romance by Karen Lillis. The fact that it was in all dialogue, was interesting. Once again, I compared this to assignment of ours, the fact that the author could account all of this, like the conversation was sensitive, the guy was pouring out his feelings, and what was be said could be interpreted numerous ways; I looked at his as exchange between the guy and a female companion via-text or email hint when he said "WHEN ARE YOU COMING OUT HERE?" on page 72. Obviously there are some distance between them, but what he was saying, it seemed like he was more effected by all what is between them and to feel all this about someone you never met or seen, I mean conversation is key to get to knowing someone, but this was a little much. It would really help to know what was said from the woman.

Overall, the readings for this week have been nice, very thoughtful, meaning some definite thought has to go into them in order to get the jest of what is meant from the author. The different interpretations keep things fresh and that's always a treat.
